Our Consulting Director, Richard Bate, is excited and honoured to speak on both days at SHW Live in Manchester this year. This is the third consecutive year that we have been invited to speak at this conference.

On the 23rd of January, Richard will talk about the Importance of a Competent Person doing H&S risk assessments/training. In this roundtable session, panellists will explain how to identify the responsible person for health, safety, and fire safety. 

On the 24th of January, Richard will participate in a panel session discussing Driving for Better Business. The session will focus on good practices for managing driver safety. The panel will discuss the legal responsibilities of safety managers, directors, and drivers, looking at how companies should build road risk into their general H&S procedures and asking how employers can start to raise awareness of road risk among colleagues and the most effective ways of developing, communicating, and enforcing safe driving policies.
